"Pop Acappella with a classical twist"

OperAcappella was founded in 2015 by singers Rachel Tedder and Bethany Barber. Both have a wide range of experience in opera, art song, musical and pop.

The vocal ensemble's sphere of influence extends from the choral tradition of The Swingles, the King's Singers and Eric Whitacre to pop hits by Pentatonix, Adele and Whitney Houston. The group creates a completely new sound experience with the mix of opera and pop in the a cappella area. Arrangements such as the techno version of the Magic Flute aria “Der Hölle Rache”, a chorale version by Mumford and Sons or the encounter between Puccini and the Beatles are unique.

It is precisely this uniqueness that gave OperAcappella international appearances, such as at the A Cappella Festival 2018 in Moscow or at the A Cappella Festival 2019 in Dublin.
